Spring Programs



Registration for Spring 2024 is closed, our teams are full, and games are now underway.  Please look for registration for Fall season to open in July, and run through August.

Welcome to the Spring 2024 Season
 at San Jose American Little League (SJALL). Spring season runs from March through late May, with teams forming (and some starting practices) in February.  The season can extend into June if a team makes TOCs, and into July (and even beyond, if they keep winning) for those players who make all-stars.  Practice days and times vary and are not set until teams are formed. Games and practices take place at our Cory Field, Hoover Field and other fields around the area.

Please carefully read all the information below prior to registering. 

Is your child eligible to play at San Jose Americas Little League?
THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO BE ELIGIBLE

1) ELIGIBILITY THROUGH RESIDENCE
To qualify this way, you must live in the SJALL boundaries. Check here at the official Little League Finder!
You must upload one document from each of the three categories below.
IMPORTANT: The documentation must be dated February 1,  2023 or later.

GROUP ONE
1. Driver’s License

2. School records

3. Vehicle records (i.e., registration, lease, etc.)

4. Employment records

5. Insurance documents
 


GROUP TWO
1. Welfare/child care records

2. Federal records (Federal Tax, Social Security, etc.)

3. State records

4. Local (municipal) records

5. Support payment records

6. Homeowner or tenant records

7. Military records
 GROUP THREE
1. Voter’s Registration

2. Utility bills (i.e., gas, electric, water/ sewer, phone, mobile phone, heating, waste disposal)

3. Financial records (i.e. loan, credit, investments, etc.)

4. Medical records

5. Internet, cable, or satellite records

2) ELIGIBILITY THROUGH SCHOOL
PLAYER MUST UPLOAD SCHOOL WAIVER:
To qualify this way, your school must be within our boundaries. Check here at the official Little League Finder!

Please ask your principal to sign this form. No other document can be used to verify school eligibility. You may upload the same form every year, as long as your child does not change schools. If your child moves to a school outside of our boundaries,  a II(d) waiver would then be required.



What other documents are required to upload during registration? 
- Players Birth Certificate
- Signed and completed medical form

Players will not be able to participate in practices or games until all required documents have been received and verified. 

Registration Fees
Registration is based on Little League age, please refer to the Little League age chart to determine your child's age:


This year, your fee is determined by your child's Little League age:

*These ages will be open to a waitlist only until enough players are signed up to form a team. If not enough players sign up, they will be referred to a different Little League within our district or they can sign up for a baseball program at SJALL.

Please Note: All Baseball players Little League Age 7 - 12 must attend at least one player evaluation event. (Tentatively scheduled for January 6th & 20th). 

What Else is Required to Register? 

Volunteer Requirement Check:
Each family must submit a check made out to San Jose American Little League in the amount of $350, postdated to June 1, 2024. The League will hold all checks until the family is confirmed to have fulfilled their volunteer obligation. Checks will be deposited if volunteer obligations are not completed by the end of the season and if one does not attend a scheduled shift or if you cancel your shift with less than 24 hours’ notice without finding a replacement.

Volunteer Requirement:
Each family is required to:
·        Sign up for and complete a total of at least nine (9) volunteer hours during the regular season.
·        Sign up for and complete ONE (1) Snack Shack shift. **Snack Shack shift hours are counted AS PART OF the nine-hour requirement.

Refund Policy
If it is necessary to withdraw a player from the program, refunds will be provided as follows:
-Withdrawal prior to Team Formation – 100% minus $15.00 registration fee.
-Withdrawal after team formation will be considered by the San Jose American Little League Board of Directors on an individual basis.
Refunds will be processed within 30 days after the date in which payment has cleared. All refund requests must be made via email to [email protected]
