What is Fall Ball?
Fall Ball is an instructional league that emphasizes learning and developing skills in a less competitive environment than Spring baseball. Players are encouraged to sharpen their skills, try new positions, and have fun! Open to players of Little League ages 5-13, Fall Ball is organized like Spring Little League with divisions Farm thru Majors. If your child is ready to move up to the next division in Spring, Fall Ball is a great way to prepare.
The Fall Ball program is contingent on the number of managers and coaches that volunteer for the program and the number of registrants. We’re looking for managers, coaches, and team administrators. If you can volunteer, please contact email@example.com.
What are the dates for Fall Ball?
Fall ball will run from late August through October, excluding Labor Day weekend. All games will be on Sunday afternoons.
Where will we play?
We will play games against teams in locations/leagues from within the leagues in our District. Not all games will be at San Jose American’s Cory Field.
Will my child be with their friends/classmates?
Yes, we can honor buddy and coach requests in Fall Ball. (We are not required to do a draft.) There is a space in the registration form to request friends or coaches you would like your child to play with, and we will do our best to honor these requests.
What do we need to bring?
Players should wear baseball attire and bring a water bottle and baseball gear, including: glove, bat, athletic cup (required for Farm and above), cleats, baseball pants, etc. For their protection, please be sure the players do not wear shorts or short socks.
San Jose American Little League will provide Fall Ball caps and t-shirts.
What is the time commitment from my family?
All games will be on Sundays against teams from locations/leagues from within the leagues in our District. There is one practice during the week (some managers may offer additional practices during the week).
How do I register?
Go to www.sjall.org. Please be sure to use an active email address when you register, as this is how your coach will contact you. We’ll contact you in late August 17th with the name of your team.
How do I volunteer to be a manager, coach or work in some other capacity?
As a volunteer organization, SJALL is always looking for dedicated people to help in many various capacities. Thank you very much for volunteering!
